Welcome to Rayden's page. Here you will find a story of our sons journey with Spina Bifida. There have been many challenges and struggles through the years but it's been worth it! I have tried to keep this blog updated. It might be easier to navigate by using the side bar and looking for specific dates or posts. You can even use the search engine for something specific. I welcome comments as well.

October 3, 2018 Independent steps
Rayden has really started taking off this summer. He will leave his walker and walk across the floor. As long as he has an end in mind he will just take off. In May of 2018, he took as many as 21independent steps in his preschool classroom with his physical therapist. (Independent meaning without a walker, crutches or even mommy's hand--all by himself.) Throughout the summer he just got more and more brave, walking all over the house.
By July 17, 2018Rayden took 30 stepsat Uncle Jeffery and Aunt Katie's house in Alabama.
On Sept. 30, 2018he took 29 steps at church.
By Oct. 3, 2018Rayden was taking 66 steps! He didn't have to have an end in mind. He was so confident in himself that he would turn, stop, and go again.
